Expostulation

On a doorstep this evening, a man immediately informed my rosette and myself, "you're cycle lane-beserk! I wouldn't vote for you if you were the only name on the ballot!" I resisted the temptation to say that I would see if I could arrange this, but nodded politely. Little did he realise that he had provided the evening's entertainment, which spurs me on to seek out those who might favour my becoming part of this giddy whirl that is democracy.
