Notorious

I watched again this 1946 film by Hitchcock with some relish - the startling aspects of it endure - but it is a series of scenes rather than an organic flow, for all the bravura of such camerwork as the traversinng of a staircase to focus upon a key which is central to the, literally, explosive plot.
